About Golf with FreedomThe foundation of Golf with Freedom Lesson Center at Desert Princess is based on knowing that within each and every one of us exists the natural ability to learn and develop. Those abilities, when re-discovered and brought out, allows for remarkable breakthroughs in learning, enjoyment and performance. The current golf culture filled with tips, techniques and formulas is replaced with an environment free of judgment or evaluation. This refreshing and empowering environment allows the student to explore and develop well beyond what they may have ever thought possible.

Meet Brandon Richardson, PGA
Golf with Freedom Lesson Center Director of Coaching & Instruction
Brandon is the owner/founder and director of coaching of Golf with Freedom Lesson Center. He's been playing golf for more than 23 years, receiving an early start with the encouragement from his parents at the age of 8. He began competing in junior tournaments when he was 11 and had a successful high school career, including three District titles and one State title.
In 2003, Brandon turned professional and completed the United States Golf Teaching Federation Level III requirements. He passed the players' ability portion of the certification by 17 shots, winning the overall event by 13. This marked the beginning of Brandon's teaching career. In the 8 years since, he has worked for three Class A PGA teaching professionals at their respective golf schools. Brandon joined the PGA as an apprentice in 2006, became a Class A PGA Member in January 2011 and was also nominated for the Oregon Chapter PGA Teacher of the Year Award that same year.
The highlight of his playing career came in 2006 when he earned a spot in the Nationwide Tour's Oregon Classic at Shadow Hills Country Club by winning the Pacific Northwest PGA Section Qualifier. In 2008, Brandon attended two Extraordinary Golf Coaching Programs with Extraordinary Golf founder Fred Shoemaker to grow his abilities as a coach and as a player, which led to remarkable breakthroughs in his ability to coach and play. This experience - along with Brandon's continued desire to explore and discover what's possible - provides each and every one of his students an environment where they can freely explore, discover and experience their own remarkable breakthroughs in golf and in life.

"Teaching assumes that something is missing in the student and the teacher has to provide it.
Coaching assumes that the student's ability is already there and only needs to be discovered and brought out."
